Serving as president and treasurer of RPI, Michael is a licensed contractor who has been in the building and renovation field for over twenty years. His experience in the trades and his ability to negotiate with subs and contractors has made him a natural at running the operations of the business. This experience, dedication and attention to detail guarantees the highest in quality outcomes. The photo of the brick home on the home page of this site attests to this; it’s Michael’s home and he managed its construction from start to finish.

One of twelve siblings from Portuguese immigrant parents, Michael grew up in a three-family home in a rough neighborhood of Fall River. At an early age his parents instilled in him the importance of hard work and the value of a dollar.

Michael is also a fire captain and one of the most decorated firefighters in the country. There are roughly 800,000 firefighters in the United States, and each year one firefighter is awarded the coveted Ray Downey Courage and Valor Award. Ray Downey was an FDNY legend and the highest-ranking member of the department to give his life during the attacks on 9/11.  Michael was awarded this incredible honor for miraculously saving two young children from a horrible arson fire.
